@retweetme in 15 minutes; update the retweetme profile with the URL of this blog post
RetweetMe is a new reminder/todo service that I am launching tonight built on Twitter using their API and Twitter4r
RetweetMe is a very simple service. To use RetweetMe:
- Step 1: follow RetweetMe
- Step 2: "reply" to @retweetme in the correct format
- Step 3: sit back and wait for the direct message from retweetme.
Example retweets:
@retweetme at 10pm; watch the daily show
@retweetme on December 24th; buy xmas presents
@retweetme in 24 hours; finish the first season of 24
Format:
@retweetme when; what
**IMPORTANT**
- You MUST use the semicolon ";" to seperate the time and the message
- Unless you live on the eastern seaboard, its a good idea to keep your Location accurate in your twitter settings.
FAQ:
- Can I send direct messages to retweetme instead of "replying" with @retweetme?
- Not right now, but this will be coming shortly
- Do I have to follow retweetme?
- Yes
- Can I setup recurring reminders?
- Again, not right now, but this will be coming in the next couple of weeks.
- How will I know if the time I specify for the reminder will work?
- See below for more examples, try to follow those as closely as possible.
More Examples:
- @retweetme tomorrow at 4am; keep sleeping
- @retweetme in 3 hours; go to sleep
- @retweetme on December 20th at 6pm; pick up Anna at the airport
- @retweetme at 6pm; think of more things to remind yourself
